CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Liberty’s Jess Reinhardt (Gatton, Queensland, Australia) has been selected as the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while Davidson’s Kaliya Burton-Akright (Tampa, Fla.) and Georgia Southern’s Sara Meisenhelder (Carmel, Ind.) have been named co-Diver of the Week for meets competed Jan. 27-Feb. 2, the League announced today.
Reinhardt went 5-for-5 last week at the Davidson Duals. She posted individual records in the 200-yard butterly (2:02.84) and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.12. Reinhardt added a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, swimming the butterfly leg with a split of 24.63. She also picked up relay wins in the 400-yard medley (55.06 butterfly split) and the 200-yard freestyle (24.51 split). The award is her second Swimmer of the week plaudit this season.
Burton-Akright swept the diving events at Davidson’s CCSA Duals last week. She won the 3-meter competition with a score of 269.33. She followed with a win in the 1-meter dive as she turned in a score of 257.75. This is her third Diver of the Week award of the season.
Meisenhelder took second place for the Eagles in the 1-meter event last week with a score of 255.45. She followed that up with a third place finish in the 3-meter event with a score of 261.35. The award is her second Diver of the week nod this season.
