CCSA Announces Men's Swimmer/Diver of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( – University of the Incarnate Word’s David Moore (San Antonio, Texas) has been selected as the CCSA Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while UMBC’s Tim Perkins (Frederick, Md.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Oct. 13-Oct. 19, the League announced today.

Moore posted a winning time of 4:01.93 in the 400-yard individual medley in UIW’s dual-meet with Texas A&M last week.  He added a third place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:54.67.  The freshman followed that up with another third place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.34.

Perkins picked up a pair of top two finishes in the Retrievers dual with Navy.  In the 3-meter competition he scored a season-best 278.55 to finish first place.  Perkins also added a second place finish in the 1-meter event with 258.97 points.

Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week:  Dylan Ludwick (Davidson), Nathan Lile (Gardner-Webb), Evan Carey (UMBC) and Connor McMahon (VMI)

Also nominated for Diver of the Week:  Brian McRae (Davidson) and Alex Ramirez (Incarnate Word)
