Davidson's Drew Onken (Marietta, Ga.) has been selected as the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week, while College of Charleston's Peter Gibbons (Fairfax, Va.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Jan. 28-Feb. 3, the League announced today.
Onken claimed a pair of individual wins in Davidson's CCSA dual against Howard. He won the 100-yard breaststroke and was first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:07.64. He was a member of the 200-yard medley relay that captured second-place with a time of 1:39.73, and the 400-yard freestyle that finished second with a time of 3:17.80. This is Onken's fifth Swimmer of the Week plaudit this season.
Gibbons was the top scorer for the Cougars against East Carolina. He finished fourth in the 1-meter event with a score of 280.7 and was third in the 3-meter board with a score of 285.00. This is Gibbons' fifth nod for Diver of the Week honors this season.
Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week for Week: Patrick Foos (College of Charleston) and Miles Hector (Howard).
