For the first time in recent history, the Howard Bison traveled to Marymount University for a showdown with the Saints.   On their Senior Day, the Howard men blew away the hosts with a 123-70.  The Lady Bison fell to the Lady Saints 123-78.

In staking claim to their second victory of the season, the Bison featured two men that were victorious in their three events.   Senior Zadok Isaacs notched his 13th and 14th individual first place finishes of the season.   First, in the 200 individual medley, Isaacs pulled away in the final 50 to claim the event in a time of 2:05.26, his fastest time in the event for this season.   In the 500 freestyle, Isaacs separated himself early and come away with a winning time of 5:07.03.  Isaacs is now 10th all-time in Howard history in the 500 freestyle.

Sophomore Trent Popovich also had a memorable day for the Bison.   In his lone individual performance, Popovich vaulted himself into 9th place all-time at HU in the 100 butterfly with a triumphant mark of 54.75.

Popovich literally led both the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay to victory to open and conclude the meet.   In the 200 medley, Popovich teamed with Isaacs, senior Kelvin Goodman and sophomore Dexter Brown to win the opening event with a time of 1:40.55.   To finish the meet, Popovich stormed in front for junior Darell Hungerford and fellow sophomores Miles Hector and Benjamin Skelding for a winning time of 3:29.48.

Brown, Hungerford, Hector and Skelding each claimed individual victories, as well.   Hector was first, setting a new season-best time in the 1000 freestyle with a winning mark of 10:16.23.   For the first time this season, Hungerford was champion in the 50 freestyle, forging ahead with a dual meet best mark of 23.43.   Skelding blew away the competition in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.94.   Finally, Brown claimed the 100 breaststroke for his first individual victory of the season at the time of 1:01.94.   Of note was Goodman's 1:04.30 in the 100 breast, not only his fastest of the season, but good for second place behind Brown.

Despite the loss, the Lady Bison had a number of good races that featured four victories.   Their first victory was in the 200 individual medley where sophomore Briana Dillon fended off the oncoming Lady Saints with a first place time of 2:20.42.   Dillon was also triumphant in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.81.

Dillon led the way for the ladies in the 400 freestyle relay to give her three victories in three races on the day.   Teaming with senior E'lan Brewer and juniors Janai Ederaine and Ashley Douglas the Lady Bison closed the meet with a winning time of 3:49.19.

Ederaine had an impressive day of her own.   The junior was very good in the 100 butterfly, starting strong and battling towards a winning time of 1:02.70.   Ederaine also swan the 1000 freestyle and, despite getting second place, her time of 11:26.55 was not only a season-best, but now has her sixth all-time at HU in the event.

The Bison will have their final dual meet of the season this Saturday in Davidson, North Carolina.   For the third consecutive season, Davidson will be hosting the CCSA Duals Meet, featuring the Bison, North Carolina A&T, Radford, Liberty, Georgia Southern, Campbell and the host Wildcats.   The meet will begin at 1:00 p.m.
