The Radford swimmers took to the pool on Saturday afternoon and split in a tri-meet at Saint Francis University.  The Highlanders (5-7) edged Siena, 136-121, for their fifth victory of the season, but fell short against the host Red Flash, 160-96, from Stokes Natatorium.

Sophomore Claire Doherty and freshman Sarah Fredericksen posted victories in the 100 (1:01.81) and 200 butterfly (2:10.65), respectively.  Doherty also recorded a season best in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:04.80.  Fredericksen added a third in the 1000 (11:01.34) and fourth in the 500 free (5:21.25).

Senior Emily Turner and junior Jessica Frazelle turned in second place finishes in the 200 IM (2:15.72) and 100 fly (1:02.61).  It was Frazelle's best time in her respective event, while she finished fourth in the 100 back (1:02.07).  In addition, Turner touched the wall with a time of 55.94 in the 100 free for a third.

Freshman Mary Flinn covered the 200 free in 2:00.14 and 200 back in 2:14.14 for third and fourth place finishes, respectively.

The Highlanders head to Davidson College next Saturday for the CCSA Duals, their final regular season meet of the season.  The meet features the host Wildcats, Liberty, North Carolina A&T, Howard and Georgia Southern.
