, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) - Florida Gulf Coast's Emma Svensson (Upsala, Sweden) has been selected as the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Georgia Southern' s Sara Meisenhelder (Carmel, Ind.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Jan. 7-13, the League announced today.
Svensson posted three wins against CCSA opponent Radford. She broke pool records in both the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard IM with times of 25.79 and 59.76, respectively. Svensson was also a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay that clocked in at 1:52.59. This is Svensson's second consecutive Swimmer of the Week honor.
Meisenhelder won both diving events in the Eagles' dual versus Darton College. She set a school and pool record on the 1-meter board with a score of 281.70. Her score also qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones. Meisenhelder claimed the 3-meter event with a score of 258.00.
Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week for Week 16: Kylie Warne (Campbell), Sarah Graif (College of Charleston), Elaina Lanson (Georgia Southern), Emily Duff (Liberty).
