CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) - Howard's Briana Dillon (Katy, Texas) has been selected as the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, while VMI's Heather Magill (Herndon, Va.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Dec. 3-9, the League announced today.
Dillon had a strong performance in Howard's tri meet against Georgetown and Catholic University. She won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:16.37 and earned fifth-place on Howard's All-Time list. Dillon later took fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.73 and is also fifth on the Lady Bison All-Time list. She concluded the meet swimming the lead leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay.
Magill swept the diving events in VMI's dual against Hollins University. She won the 1-meter board and set a school record with a score of 265.65. She then won the 3-meter board with a 255.70 score. This is Magill's third Diver of the Week honor this season.
Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week for Week 11: Justina Dunne (VMI).
