CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) - Davidson's Meredith Nakano (Alpharetta, Ga.) has been selected as the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, while College of Charleston's Megan Norton (Ocean City, N.J.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Nov. 5-11, the League announced today.
Nakano had a good showing in Davidson's dual meet against VMI. She won the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:57.70. Nakano also won the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in 2:08.67 for a team-best time this season. She swam a 2:25.84 in an exhibition swim of the 200-yard breaststroke and helped the Wildcats post a time of 1:41.11 in an exhibition swim of the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Norton competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in College of Charleston's dual against South Carolina. She scored a personal-best in both events, finishing with a score of 260.48 in the 1-meter board and 236.55 points in the 3-meter event.
