CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) - Davidson's Dylan Ludwick (Yardley, Pa.) has been selected as the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week, while VMI's Ray Long (Davis, Calif.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Nov. 5-11, the League announced today.
Ludwick had a solid performance in Davidson's dual meet against VMI, as he picked up a trio of individual wins in the event. Ludwick won the 200-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 1:43.34 and took first-place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:58.08. He also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.00. Ludwick then swam the third leg in Davidson's "B" relay that took second in a time of 1:28.91. This is Ludwick's first Swimmer of the Week honor this season.
VMI's dual meet against Davidson was Long's first competition of the season. The rookie diver swept the diving events, scoring 220.50 points in the 3-meter board and 206.92 points in the 1-meter board.
Also nominated for Diver of the Week for Week 7: Peter Gibbons (College of Charleston).
