Campbell took 10 of 14 events to sink UNC Asheville on the road 179-83 Saturday evening at the Justice Center Pool.

The meet was Asheville's first home meet in 36 years.

The Camels move to 7-3 in dual meets this season.

Campbell took the meet's first four events, including the 200 medley relay, Kaitlyn Tunstall in the 1,000 freestyle, Meredith Cooper in the 200 free and Kylie Warne in the 50 backstroke.

After UNC Asheville's Chloe Carr took the 50 yard breaststroke, Cheriesse Campbell's 1:00.79 in the 100 fly gave the CU junior a win, while Larissa Joassaint earned a win in the 50 free with a 25.55.  After Spencer Hopper topped the 100 free with a 55.92, Joassaint posted another victory with a 1:05.19 in the 100 backstroke.

Camels also picked up wins in the 200 IM with Kylie Warne's 2:11.46 and the 200 free relay with a 1:42.13 mark.

Campbell will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 15 for the three day Radford Invitational.

The UNC Asheville women's swim team hosted its first home match in 36 years on Saturday and delighted the capacity crowd at Justice Center Pool by winning four individual events, including two by Alessandra Troncoso.

The Bulldogs (1-3) fell to a deeper and more experienced Campbell (7-3) squad, 179-83, but Asheville coach Elizabeth Lykins was very pleased with the first home meet at Justice Center pool since 1976.

Troncoso continued her impressive rookie season with the Bulldogs.  She finished in first place in the 50-yard Butterfly with a time of 27.45 and the 100-yard Breaststroke at 1:05.55. Chole Carr took first in the 50-yard Breaststroke as she posted a time of 31.92, while Galen Broido took first in the 500-yard Freestyle at a time of 5:18.20.

The Bulldogs went 1-2 in the 100-yard Breaststroke.  Finishing behind Troncoso was Carr at 1:08.77.

The first race of the afternoon was the 200-yard Medley relay.  Campbell's A team just edged out UNC Asheville's team of Broido, Carr, Troncoso and Kristen Lawson. Campbell's time was 1:54.30, while the Bulldogs were at 1:54.32.

Troncoso just missed a third individual win in the 100-yard Butterfly. She was edged by Cherissee Campbell as she had a time of 1:00.79 to 1:00.93 for Troncoso.

Broido took second in the 1000-yard Freestyle at 10:51.84.  Lawson finished second in the 200-yard Freestyle at 2:09.02.

The Bulldogs next meet is at the Highlander Invitational (Nov. 15-17) at Radford.
