Florida Gulf Coast's Eva Lethonen (Rochester Hills, Mich.) has been selected as the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, while North Florida's Julia Moomaw (Orlando, Fla.) earned Diver of the Week honors for meets competed Oct. 29-Nov. 4, the League announced today.
Lethonen had a solid performance in Florida Gulf Coast's tri-meet against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. She won all of her events as the Eagles defeated Georgia Tech, 169-131 and fell to Virginia Tech, 175-125. Lethonen placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.77. She also placed first in the 200-yard fly, finishing in 2:04.26, and won the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 5:02.88. Lethonen swam her leg of the winning 200-yard relay in 23.20.
Moomaw competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in North Florida's dual against Florida International. She scored 237.82 points to take second-place in the 1-meter, and took second in the 3-meter board with a score of 244.35.
Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week for Week 6: Giorgie Graves (Gardner-Webb), Emilie Kaufman (Liberty) and Alessandra Troncoso (UNC Asheville).
